How we check listings and prices

Use the available information to ask better questions before buying. Keep a listing's stated facts separate from assumptions, estimates and your own design changes.

Different evidence answers different questions

A detail in a listing is a seller's description. A laboratory report concerns the item and tests described in that report. Missing or conflicting specifications need confirmation from the seller; an image cannot establish every hidden detail.

What goes into Check a Piece

When a source can be read, the check separates listing text and available photographs, retains the source observations, and shows corrections separately. A selected option that cannot be verified needs confirmation. Photo-based weights or dimensions are estimates rather than measurements.

The component estimate uses supplied or corrected stone and metal specifications with configured gemstone, metal, labor and setting rates. It is a modeled recreation estimate, not a measurement of a retailer's costs or a record of completed transactions. This estimate uses the same pricing model as orders placed through InstaJewel, and InstaJewel earns when you order through it. Rate availability and assumptions can vary; read the labels and warnings attached to the particular result.

If important details are missing, a result may show disclosed, editable assumptions or conditional scenarios. Those scenarios do not verify stone origin or establish guaranteed price bounds. If pricing is unavailable, the specification or preview can still be useful, but it is not a completed valuation.

Where a stone has no configured rate, a result can use a flagged fallback estimate. Metal rates may be shown as configured values when a current market timestamp was not verified. Read those labels rather than assuming every amount is a current market observation.

Read estimates with their inputs

A displayed estimate depends on the supplied specifications and the assumptions shown with that result. Review its included components and uncertainty before using it in a comparison. A missing metal weight, stone specification or inclusion can change the meaning of the amount.

An estimate does not authenticate a stone, establish a seller's actual production cost or profit, provide an insurance appraisal, or create a binding offer. Confirm current availability and a final price directly before purchasing.

Keep the original piece separate from a design change

Changing a design does not change what a seller stated about the original piece. Review the source facts and any corrections separately. A 3D preview is representative: whoever makes the piece must confirm stone fit, construction, metal weight and manufacturability.

Check what a purchase includes

Loose stones, mountings and complete rings are different purchases. Confirm the center stone, accents, metal, work, taxes, delivery and services. Read any commercial disclosure beside a displayed offer, together with the seller's terms.

How we earn money

InstaJewel earns when you order a ring or stone through it, not from paid referrals or placement.

Payment does not affect how results are ranked. No seller can pay to appear higher.

InstaJewel is a marketplace, not a jeweler. Stones offered through it come from third-party suppliers, and rings ordered through it are made by qualifying third-party suppliers, whose names we keep private. A stone or Ring Builder design ordered through InstaJewel is our commercial offer, so judge it by the same facts you would check with any other seller.

Whoever the seller is, confirm the specifications, included work and final terms before you order. Questions about a commercial relationship can go to support@instajewel.ai.
