Using InstaJewel

In these terms, "InstaJewel", "we" and "us" mean the business that runs instajewel.ai, and "you" means the person using it. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Use the site for your own shopping and research. Don't try to get around its security checks or rate limits, overload it, copy it in bulk with automated tools, or use it to break the law. We may limit or stop access for anyone who does.

Estimates are not offers

Check a Piece, Find and the Ring Builder show modeled estimates. An estimate is production guidance built from the details available and configured rates for stones, metal and labor. It is not an appraisal, a quote or an offer to sell, and it can be wrong.

A photograph or a design preview does not verify a stone, a metal or how a piece will fit. Listings from other sellers belong to those sellers: their prices, descriptions, returns and warranties are between you and them.

Ring Builder design deposits

A design deposit asks a specialist to review your Ring Builder design and prepare a final quote. It is a payment toward your order, not the full price.

The deposit is a percentage of the modeled estimate (currently 10%), or a flat $500 when the Ring Builder cannot price your design automatically. The amount, and how it was worked out, is shown before you pay. Deposits are charged in US dollars.

The estimate and your final quote

After your deposit, a specialist reviews the design and emails you a link to your final quote. The quote shows the final price, shipping, sales tax (or how it will be calculated), the deposit already paid and the balance due.

The final price may be higher or lower than the estimate, for example because of stone availability, metal prices, design details or sizing. Nothing is made and no balance is charged until you approve the quote.

How long a quote is valid, and metal prices

A final quote is valid for 7 days from the day we send it.

Gold and other metal prices change daily. If they move significantly while your quote is open, we may withdraw the quote before the 7 days end and send you a revised quote. You can accept the revised quote or decline it for a full refund of your deposit.

We send you a reminder before your quote expires. If you don't respond within the 7 days, the quote expires and we refund your deposit in full.

Declining a quote: your full refund

Until you approve a final quote, you can decline it for any reason and we refund your entire deposit to the original payment method. We don't deduct a fee.

Decline on your quote page ("I don't agree – refund my deposit") or by emailing support@instajewel.ai. We process the refund within 2 business days of your decline, or of the quote's expiry. Your bank typically shows it within 5-10 business days after that. The refund policy has the details.

• Refund and cancellation policy

Approving a quote: your deposit becomes non-refundable

Approving a final quote is your order for the piece at the quoted total. When you approve, your piece goes into production with one of our third-party suppliers.

From the moment you approve, your deposit is non-refundable. It is credited toward the final total, and you pay the remaining balance on Stripe's secure payment page.

Because each piece is made to your design, we can't cancel the order or refund the balance once work has started. If your piece can't be made as quoted, we will tell you and refund what you have paid. This does not limit any rights you have under the law where you live, for example if a piece arrives damaged or is not what you approved.

Changing your design

If you ask for a material change after a quote is sent and before you approve it, we may send a new quote. Your deposit stays with your order, and the same right to decline for a full refund applies to the new quote.

Shipping and sales tax

We don't charge sales tax on the deposit. Shipping and any sales tax are calculated on your final order and charged with the balance, based on your shipping address and the tax rules that apply to that order.

Depending on how the order is set up, sales tax is either shown on the quote or calculated by our payment provider at checkout, where it may differ slightly from an earlier figure. We currently ship to addresses in the United States only. If your deposit is refunded, no sales tax applies to it.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe on its secure payment page. We never see or store your full card number.

Problems, disputes and chargebacks

If something is wrong, please contact us first at support@instajewel.ai so we can put it right.

If you dispute a charge with your card issuer, we will give the issuer these terms, your quote and our messages with you. If you dispute a deposit we have already refunded or agreed to refund, the refund and the dispute may overlap, so please tell us before you file.

Our responsibility to you

We work to keep InstaJewel accurate and available, but the site and its estimates are provided as they are, without a promise that they are complete, current or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on an estimate or another seller's listing.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, except where the law where you live gives you protections that cannot be changed by agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in effect when you paid a deposit apply to that order.
