Refund and cancellation policy

This policy explains when you get your Ring Builder design deposit back, how the refund is processed and how long it takes, and what changes once you approve a final quote.

Plain-English summary

  • Your deposit is fully refundable until you approve the final quote.
  • Decline the quote, or let it expire after 7 days, and we refund the whole deposit. We don't deduct a fee.
  • A member of our team issues the refund within 2 business days. Your bank typically shows it within 5-10 business days after that.
  • Once you approve the final quote, your deposit is non-refundable and is credited toward your balance.

When you get your full deposit back

  • You decline the final quote, for any reason, before approving it.
  • You don't respond and the quote expires 7 days after we sent it. We send a reminder before it expires.
  • We withdraw a quote because metal prices moved significantly, and you decline the revised quote we send.
  • We decide your design can't be made.

How to decline a quote

Open the quote link from your email and choose "I don't agree – refund my deposit", then confirm. You can also email support@instajewel.ai with the email address you used for the deposit.

How refunds are processed

Refunds are not automatic. When you decline, or your quote expires, a member of our team issues the refund through our payment provider, Stripe. We process it within 2 business days of your decline or of the quote's expiry.

The refund goes back to the payment method you used. Your quote page shows the date the refund was issued.

When the money reaches you

After we issue a refund, banks typically show it within 5-10 business days. The exact time depends on your bank or card issuer, and we can't speed it up. If it hasn't appeared after 10 business days, contact us and we will check its status with Stripe.

How much is refunded

The full amount of your deposit. We don't deduct a cancellation or processing fee. No sales tax is charged on a deposit, so there is no tax to refund.

After you approve a final quote

When you approve a final quote, your piece goes into production with one of our third-party suppliers. From that moment your deposit is non-refundable and is credited toward the final total, and you pay the balance on Stripe's secure page.

Because each piece is made to your design, the order can't be cancelled and the balance can't be refunded once work has started. If your piece can't be made as quoted, we will tell you and refund what you have paid. If a finished piece arrives damaged or isn't what you approved, contact us: this policy does not limit rights you have under the law where you live.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a deposit with your card issuer. If you dispute a deposit we have already refunded or agreed to refund, the refund and the dispute may overlap and take longer to settle.
